Registration required: only Florida Bar attorneys, Florida-licensed CPAs, or Class C private investigators registered with the Dept. of Financial Services may act as claimant's representatives (F.S. §717.1400).
Fee Cap
20% cap per unclaimed-property account held by the department (F.S. §717.135).
Waiting Period
No 24-month bar; representatives work through the DFS claims process with full-disclosure limited power of attorney.
